We’ve completed the images for our very first online gallery.

The ‘Derbyshire Panoramas‘ gallery initially consists of seven images taken over the last year.

More images will be added and more galleries as soon as we can complete them to the required standard.

We hope you enjoy the first set.

Prints

We are hoping to begin print sales early next year (2008) and are looking for local art galleries to stock prints. If you own or manage a gallery and are interested in selling our prints, please feel free to contact us.

We’ve been working with Creature on the artwork for their new album, “Distant Horizon”. The cover and interior artwork features processed images taken in and around Derbyshire.

The Portfolio section will be updated shortly with the full images for the covers, internal and CD artwork.

In other news, those looking for images in the gallery don’t have much longer to wait. We are planning on having the first 6, “Derbyshire Panoramas” up in the near future.

The assembly of images for the gallery is moving along a pace. There are now quite a few candidates, including a couple from recent ‘dawn shoots’ in the Peak District, examples of which can be seen below.

A friend has suggested some market research and this will be conducted before final gallery selections are made. Ten images will be shown to a collection of friends & colleagues, with the top six making it into the first gallery.

The intention is to initially have a single gallery, then finalise work on the shopping cart and checkout before adding additional galleries.

Well, it’s uploaded. The new main web site, blog (as you can see) and gallery framework are in place.

There are no images in the gallery at the moment (hence the lack of a link) and so there’s little point in visiting it just yet.

The next phase is to add images to the gallery and then make them available for sale.

The new gallery, blog and web site have move on a stage today.

We’ve been very busy over the couple of weeks since the last posting, developing and testing the new pages under various web browsers. In fact, you may have seen the blog and possibly the gallery working briefly during the final stages of testing.

Today has seen the successful testing of the site under Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6 and 7. Other browsers which the site has been tested for are Opera & Firefox (both PC & Mac) and Safari 2 (Mac).

Moving on from here is the addition of content. This always takes time to add and so the new site will not be opening for a few more days. When it does, it will initially be without any galleries.

Phase 2 will be to introduce a couple of galleries and phase 3 will be to complete the extensive testing of the shopping cart. At the end of phase 3 it will be possible to purchase prints from the galleries.

A new version of the main web site is underway. The new site will encompass a set of galleries and will allow print purchases.

The work towards these changes is progressing but they will not be uploaded for a few weeks yet.
