As we all know the world economy is not in the most healthy of states right now and so we’ve taken the decision to delay the opening of the shop.

Our gallery will continue in its current form but for now our main thrust will be stock photography. Don’t worry though, the shop will open in the future.

Commissions are continuing as normal and if you would like us to produce images for your website, catalogue, brochure, CD or DVD covers or any other purpose please feel free to contact us.

Today we have uploaded some minor changes to the site.

If you visit the contact page you’ll see we’ve added a couple of new fields in preparation for the online shop.

Other changes are internal and are simply updates to the server’s code.

We’ve now completed the testing of the non-shop code on the site and confirmed correct display in all the target browsers…

  • Safari 3 (Mac)
  • Firefox 3 (Mac & PC)
  • Opera (Mac & PC)
  • Internet Explorer 7 (PC)
  • Firefox 2 (Mac & PC)
  • Internet Explorer 6 (PC) - see below

As before, if you spot something we’ve missed then feel free to contact us.

Please note that if you are still using Internet Explorer 6, it does has some extremely minor image link hi-lighting issues that will not be resolved. This is a legacy browser and not the main thrust of future development. We highly recommend you upgrade to either a newer version of this browser (version 7) or the excellent (and free) Safari, Firefox or Opera browsers.

We’ve uploaded the new website today and you should be seeing a wider version of the layout. We decided to increase the size to allow for larger panoramic images in the gallery. Hopefully, the vast majority of our visitors will see this as an improvement but you will need a minimum of a 1024 pixel wide display to see the site at its best.

The gallery is essentially the same as before, we’ve not yet uploaded the new versions of the images or opened the shop’s doors. The latter will only happen once we’ve completed all testing. The rest of the site has seen a wash & brush-up, with a couple of new images in the portfolio.

Finally, if you see any formatting problems on the site and are not using a version of Internet Explorer, we’d be grateful if you could drop us a line on the contact page. Mark your message for the webmaster.

With regards to Internet Explorer users, you’ll currently notice a number of formatting issues. We intend to resolve these in the near future and apologise for the issues. They should only effect layout and not the actual functionality of the site. If you do find a part of the site that causes you problems (other than the way it looks) please feel free to contact us.

It’s time for an update on the progress of the shop…

The code is now very near completion and final testing is scheduled to begin shortly. Our work with the print agencies is progressing and we hope to have everything ready to open an initial version of our print sales in the near future.

We’d love to give you a definite day but testing and scheduling with multiple parties is not an exact science at this point.

Be assured that once we have a date, it will be announced here first.

We thought that it’s time for an update on image sales. We’d love to be able to say the shop it now open but unfortunately we can’t. There’s two issues stopping the start of sales…

  1. The shop code is in and does run sales through PayPal’s Express Checkout, but the bad news is that the supporting code surrounding that core is not yet complete. This means we can’t release it into ‘the wild’ at this time.
  2. The actual method of printing may change as we are considering the use of external print agencies. If we changed over, it would allow us to provide better prints, in more sizes and possibly with additional mounting options. Also, we could bring the full, extra-wide versions of some of the panoramas to the gallery. At the moment, restrictions with our printing technology stop a few images from reaching their full potential.

Once again, we have to ask for your continued patience but be assured that the delays are so that we can provide a high standard of both prints and online shopping.

We have just changed our server settings to facilitate the use of a secure connection for the upcoming shop. As a result you may experience some service drop-outs while the changes distribute across the internet. This is temporary and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Once again, thank you for your continued understanding and support.

We’ve had a busy few weeks but work is progressing well. After re-arranging the web site’s underlying structure, we have now completed the shopping cart integration.

Print sales won’t start quite yet as there are a few more steps to complete before we can ship them to customers. Once again, we thank you for your continued support and patience.

We are continuing with the move towards the online shop and this has required a number of website structural changes. These will allow us to more easily update information and better integrate new features, such as the shop, into the fabric of the site.

As a result we’ve had to and will continue to periodically close access to a few areas of the site. The intention is to keep any closures to a minimum and for brief periods only. During a closure all other areas of the site will remain fully operational.

If you find an area closed or a problem on a page, please try refreshing / reloading or come back in a few minutes.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support. We hope to have the new features up and running as soon as possible.
